The Chase Manhattan Bank Mondex program:
Chase issued two Mondex cash cards, the first to be used at New York City Burger King restaurants as its first test and the second with merchants at various New York City merchants in Manhattan. There were numerous problems with merchant terminals during the test, which was abandoned fairly quickly. Note the two very different chips in the two Chase Mondex cards. All cards were reloadable and none were disposable....more to come.
